Privacy and Cookie Policy
Last updated: 1 November 2026
1. Who we are
This website, https://huntaa.co.uk/ (the "Site"), is a free, non-commercial website run by an individual in the United Kingdom ("we", "us"), who is responsible for the personal information described in this policy. For any privacy question, request or complaint, email us at info@huntaa.co.uk.
2. Information we collect about visitors
- Technical data (IP address, browser and device type, pages visited, date and time): to run, secure and fix the Site and prevent misuse. Lawful basis: legitimate interests (operating a secure website).
- Emails you send us (your name, email address and message): to answer questions, complaints and removal requests. Lawful basis: legitimate interests.
- Account data (name, email address, password stored encrypted, saved items): to provide your account. Lawful basis: contract.
We do not sell personal information, we do not use it for advertising, and we do not use it for automated decisions about you.
3. Information in listings shown on the Site
The Site shows second-hand items that have been publicly offered for sale on third-party online marketplaces. For each item we show listing details such as the title, description, photos, price, condition and a general location (for example a town or postcode area), with a link to the original listing.
- Source: publicly available listings on third-party marketplaces.
- Why: to help people find and compare second-hand items.
- Lawful basis: legitimate interests. The information was made public by the person who listed the item, for the purpose of selling it; we show only what is needed to describe the item and we link back to the original listing.
- What we do not do: we do not show sellers' names, usernames, profile pictures or contact details, we do not contact sellers and we do not build profiles of them.
- How long: when an item is no longer available we stop showing it and delete its description and photos. We may keep anonymous facts about the item (such as brand, model, condition and price) to improve our price estimates; these do not identify anyone.
If a listing on the Site is yours and you would like it removed, if the item is no longer available, or if you object to us showing it, email us at info@huntaa.co.uk with a link to the page and we will remove it promptly.
4. Who we share information with
We do not share personal information with anyone, except the company that hosts the Site, which stores it on our behalf, and where the law requires us to disclose it.
5. How long we keep information
- Server and security logs: only as long as needed to run and secure the Site.
- Emails and requests: until we have dealt with them, and then for no longer than needed to show how we handled them.
- Account data: while your account is open; deleted when you ask us to close it.
- Listing information: as described in section 3.
6. Cookies
We use strictly necessary cookies: small files the Site needs to work, for example to keep your session and protect forms against misuse. These do not need your consent.
With your consent only, we also use analytics cookies (Google Analytics) to understand how the Site is used, for example which pages are visited. They are off until you choose "Accept all" or turn them on in "Cookie settings", and you can change your choice at any time using "Cookie settings" in the footer.
To keep a record of your choice, we store a random ID, your choice and the date for 24 months. This record does not contain your IP address or any other information that identifies you. You can also block or delete cookies in your browser settings, but parts of the Site may then not work.
7. Your rights
Under UK data protection law you have the right to:
- access the personal information we hold about you;
- have inaccurate information corrected;
- have your information deleted;
- restrict how we use it;
- object to our use of it, including the display of a listing (see section 3);
- receive information you gave us in a portable format.
To use any of these rights, email us. We will respond within one month.
8. Complaints
If you are unhappy with how we have handled your information, please email us first so we can try to put it right. You also have the right to complain to the Information Commissioner's Office: ico.org.uk/make-a-complaint.
9. Security
We use reasonable measures to protect personal information, including encrypted connections (HTTPS) and restricted access to our systems.
10. Children
The Site is not aimed at children under 13 and we do not knowingly collect their personal information.
11. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. The date at the top shows when it was last changed.
